About Us: Our Value Proposition: Income/Outcome facilitator-led business simulations increase the business acumen for the individual and the group. Participants of the simulation are grouped into competitive teams, and experience the energy, rise and fall, and fast-paced nature of market forces experienced in business. Back at work, these employees, leaders, managers, and executives apply a common language rooted in a shared understanding and visualization of business in a context of decision-making processes. Enlightened employees demonstrate new initiative in prioritizing, forecasting, and planning. Change efforts are facilitated by the speed and accuracy of communications.
The Founders / Andromeda Training, Inc.: Robin and Eliza Helweg-Larsen, truly global citizens who have lived and traveled across the world, recognize that true empowerment is dependant upon building capabilities to make decisions. Consequently, they designed the Income/Outcome simulation to help build capability to run successful businesses far and wide. In addition to the expected Fortune 500 companies who purchase Income/Outcome, they are also dedicated to building versions for developing countries. For example, to address South Africa's vision of reducing the unemployment rate from 30% to 15% over the next decade, Andromeda Training, Inc. designed a streamlined version of Income/Outcome to enable multiple facilitators to grow the capability of running a business to the fast-growing market of entrepreneurs. In addition to serving industry, Andromeda Training offers support to educational institutions of all levels as well, from high schools to Executive Education programs. Their ultimate goal is to enable the capability of running successful business across all appropriate channels.
The CEO: Tim Dempsey joined Andromeda Training as the Chief Executive Officer in December of 2004. Prior to that, he had been an executive at Nortel Networks for close to twenty years. During that tenure, he had both line (Marketing Operations, Time to Market) and staff (HR, Organization Effectiveness) roles. He had been the global Vice President for Employee and Organization Learning, responsible for the company's training, learning and knowledge management processes. Before joining Nortel, he had a career as the Business Librarian at the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill and as a financial analyst for several banking companies in New York City. Active in his community, he is currently the Chairman of the Planning Board for the Town of Chapel Hill. In his spare time, he writes fiction and spends time with his wife (33 years!) and their two children.
The Facilitators: The experience of our facilitators is something to be proud of. The folks delivering the value in our classroom settings have full extensive experience in various industries and university settings as leaders, managers, and professors. Many have worked numerous years within various companies and have facilitated Income/Outcome to one company over a number of years, providing Andromeda Training, Inc. with direct feedback that continuously improves the products to more closely serve customer needs. Some facilitators continue to deliver Income/Outcome simulations even after moving into new roles outside of the company for which they worked, thus offering a diversity of knowledge and experience within business.
